These terms govern your use of Madeleine, a French vocabulary learning app published by Aesso ("we", "us", "our"). By using Madeleine, you agree to these terms.

Subscriptions

Madeleine is a paid app with auto-renewing monthly and yearly subscriptions. There is no free tier, no free trial, and no lifetime plan.

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and managed entirely by Apple. You can cancel anytime in your device's Settings under Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policy.

Content

Vocabulary content and bundled pronunciation audio are provided for educational purposes. We make reasonable efforts to ensure quality but do not guarantee linguistic perfection or specific learning outcomes.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.
Use the app in any way that violates applicable law or these terms.

Intellectual property

Madeleine, its design, vocabulary content, audio assets, and branding are owned by Aesso. The vocabulary content bank and learning system are proprietary.

Disclaimer

Madeleine is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free content, or specific learning outcomes. Your use of the app is at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aesso shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Madeleine.

Deleting your data

You can erase all your data at any time with Delete My Data in Settings. This permanently removes your local learning progress, profile, and preferences from your device and cannot be undone. Because Madeleine has no account and no server, there is nothing else to delete.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Madeleine after changes constitutes acceptance.
